Welcome to the prompt cartography website. Here you will learn how to plan, create, and design interactive web maps from scratch, using nothing but your imagination, and your words — whatever language they may happen to be spoken in.
Prompt Cartography is the name of the second edition of my book, Web Cartography: Map Design for Interactive and Mobile Devices. Whereas in the first edition of the book, I noted that JavaScript shall set you free — essentially. Today with prompt cartography as your medium, though JS is still useful to know, it won't do that much for you. Instead, clear directives, natural language grammar, and your wit will be far more important. In other words, English majors may make better cartographers than coders moving forward.
Thanks for visiting the site. It will expand. This is just the first "test" blog post. Yeah, I had an LLM create this whole website for me. But I write my own blog. That I promise you moving forward. Thanks for visiting and... Happy Mapping!
